relies on motion tracking
to immerse subjects in a true virtual world. Without motion tracking, subjects are restricted, unable to look around, or explore. Virtual motion capture
allows you to use the same movements you do in real life to interact with a virtual environment. Our motion capture systems provide a streamlined solution for realistic motion capture. We also provide a VRPN server for streaming real-time data for applications requiring six degrees of freedom (6 DoF) tracked objects. Please contact us

How Does Virtual Reality Motion Tracking Work?
Motion tracking is the process of digitizing the movement of a subject or object. Our virtual motion capture
system uses optical methods to track and capture movement. Optical systems track the position of markers in 3D and assemble the data into an approximation of the subjectâs movements. These markers are placed at key positions on the body, like joints or on the face. This allows the cameras to capture subtle and complex movements. Once captured, the motion is then mapped out on a virtual skeleton, creating characters or objects that move realistically. In a virtual environment, motion tracking allows you to experience the 3D environment as though you were physically there.
Motion capture puts the real-life, immersive element in virtual reality. While video games are one commonly known application, there are many uses beyond the entertainment industry. Some examples of how virtual reality motion tracking
is now being used include:
- Surgical simulations that allow surgeons to practice new procedures
- Flight simulators for commercial airplane pilots and the military
- Helping soldiers with PTSD learn to cope with their symptoms
- Training medical student to use medical devices, such as ultrasounds
- Creating product prototypes
These are just a few ways motion capture and virtual reality
is being used to perfect training and processes for industries
around the world. Contact us at +1 (707) 579-6521 or at email@example.com
